Meet Dr. Gerardo "Gerry" Avila, Physical Therapist

Dr. Avila is a native to Gainesville, GA. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Tx. Prior to this, he completed his Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Georgia. 

Gerry is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT), a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, and is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist  (OCS). He is also trigger point dry needling certified through Evidence in Motion and completed OPTIM's fellowship program in orthopedics and manual therapy. 

When Gerry is not in clinic, he enjoys spending time at the gym, playing golf, watching UGA football as well as the Atlanta Falcons. He is a Foodie by nature and enjoys discovering new local restaurants and breweries
